Assistant Food Server
About The Position
Oakley Country Club is seeking an entry-level Assistant Food Server to support front-of-house and kitchen teams in delivering a seamless dining experience. The role involves helping guests, communicating orders and dietary or allergy requests to the chef, running food, clearing dishes, and preparing tables for incoming guests. The position suits an energetic, team-oriented person who enjoys active work in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The role is based in Watertown, Massachusetts, and pays $17.00 per hour. Flexible full-time and part-time schedules are available, with shifts starting as early as 7:00 a.m. and ending as late as 1:00 a.m. Typical part-time shifts are 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. No prior experience is needed.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to balance and carry heavy trays.
- Ability to stay calm and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work some weekend hours.
- Friendly communication and customer service skills.
- Energetic, positive, and motivated approach to providing guests with great experiences.

- High school degree or equivalent (a plus, but not required).
Responsibilities
- Help take guest orders.
- Accurately communicate guest requests and allergy information to the chef.
- Run food to tables when dishes are ready.
- Take dirty dishes to the kitchen.
- Prepare tables for new guests.
- Help in other areas as needed to create a welcoming atmosphere and provide attentive guest service.
- Work with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to support a seamless dining experience.
