About The Position

Esplanade by the Islands in Naples, Florida, is hiring a Food Runner/Server Assistant for a seasonal role, with full-time and part-time positions available. The position supports dining-room service by preparing service materials and tables, coordinating food delivery, assisting servers, and maintaining clean, stocked workstations and dining areas. The role is part of Troon, a global golf and community management company.

Requirements

One month of related experience or training.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism, cleanliness, and neatness.
Regular and reliable attendance, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Ensure materials used by servers are clean and ready for daily operations.
Know the placement of each diner’s chair in the dining rooms and lounges.
Set the outside line with underliner plates, flatware, doilies, linen napkins, and other items needed for food delivery.
Organize plates in the window and match each plate with its ticket before running food to tables.
Set tables according to Troon Golf standards.
Ensure each menu item is prepared exactly as specified on its ticket.
Consult with the chef to correct a menu item that does not meet the ticket specifications before delivering it.
Fill and refill water glasses and remove unused place settings.
Clear dishes from in front of guests after each course.
Clear and reset tables after guests leave, including changing tablecloths, brushing chairs, placing chairs at tables, and replacing silverware, glassware, and napkins.
Assist servers as needed.
Keep workstations stocked with items and ingredients.
Clean workstations, take out trash, and vacuum the dining room.
Incorporate safe work practices into job performance.
Perform other duties as required.
