About The Position

Esplanade by the Islands in Naples, Florida, is hiring a Food Runner/Server Assistant for a seasonal role, with full-time and part-time positions available. As part of Troon, a global golf and community management organization, the employee supports dining-room service by preparing and maintaining service materials, setting tables, matching plated food to order tickets, checking that dishes meet ticket specifications, assisting servers, and keeping work areas clean and stocked. The role requires professionalism, cleanliness, neatness, and regular, reliable attendance, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Ensure materials used by servers are clean and ready for daily operation.
Know the position of each diner's chair in the dining rooms and lounges.
Set the outside line with underliner plates, flatware, doilies, linen napkins, and other items needed to deliver food.
Organize plates in the window and match each plate with its ticket before running food to tables.
Set tables in accordance with Troon Golf standards.
Ensure each menu item is prepared exactly as specified on its ticket.
If an item does not meet the ticket specifications, correct it with the chef before delivery.
Fill and refill water glasses and remove unused place settings.
Clear dishes in front of guests when they complete a course.
Clear and reset tables after guests leave, including changing tablecloths, brushing chairs, placing chairs at tables, and replacing silverware, glassware, and napkins.
Assist servers as needed.
Keep workstations stocked with items and ingredients.
Clean workstations, take out trash, and vacuum the dining room.
Use safe work practices while performing the job.
Perform other duties as required.
