About The Position

Multiple Farmers Insurance agencies in the Lansing and East Lansing area are seeking motivated, coachable individuals to train for careers in insurance sales. The role provides comprehensive, hands-on training and experience in insurance sales and client service, with support, mentorship, and resources to build a foundation for long-term career success. Advancement into agency leadership or ownership may be possible.

Requirements

• Be energetic, motivated, and coachable, with eagerness to launch or advance a career.
• Have strong communication skills and enthusiasm for connecting with people.
• Commit to professional growth, including seeking Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health insurance licensing; licensing support is available.
• Be a team player who supports colleagues and contributes to shared agency success.
• Take initiative and be comfortable engaging with prospects in person and by phone.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify leads through outbound calls, referrals, community events, and inquiries.
• Consult with clients to understand their insurance needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Build and maintain lasting client relationships.
• Use CRM tools for accurate record-keeping and follow-ups.
• Work toward meeting personal and team sales goals.
• Prepare insurance quotes, explain coverage options, and assist clients with the application process.
