About The Position

Farmers Insurance is hiring Agents in Training for its agencies throughout Long Beach, California. This sales-focused role is suited to someone who enjoys connecting with people, building relationships, and working toward goals. The employee receives hands-on training and ongoing coaching while developing insurance knowledge and sales skills. The role offers the opportunity to grow into an insurance producer or leadership position, or eventually explore agency ownership.

Requirements

Confidently communicate over the phone and initiate conversations.

Be persistent and able to handle rejection.
Be coachable and open to feedback.
Be organized and have strong follow-up skills.
Have a California Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health license, or be willing to obtain the required licensing.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Previous sales or customer-facing experience.
California Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health license.

Responsibilities

Connect with prospective customers through leads, referrals, outbound calls, and follow-up.
Ask questions to understand clients’ needs and recommend appropriate coverage.
Quote and sell Auto, Home, Life, Business, and other insurance products.
Build long-term client relationships and identify additional sales opportunities.
Manage the sales pipeline and consistently follow up with prospects.
Work toward individual and agency sales goals.
Participate in ongoing sales and insurance training.
