About The Position

The Accounts Receivable Spec manages accounts receivable needs with customers at the site level and ensures timely reporting of accounts receivable information. The role involves reconciling accounts, resolving payment and credit issues, maintaining customer account records, and communicating with customers about invoices and past-due payments. The position is located in The Woodlands, Texas, with compensation of $25.00–$30.00.

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
One year of collections or general accounting experience.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school, preferably in Accounting or Finance.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts receivable needs with customers at the site level.
Ensure timely reporting of accounts receivable information.
Complete monthly account reconciliations by researching and resolving past-due account issues related to credits, write-offs, overpayments, and underpayments.
Coordinate customer setup in accounting and billing software.
Update account status records and customer terms with pre-approved authority.
Clarify customer questions about invoices.
Maintain accurate paperwork and job files to facilitate smooth transitions to other departments.
Respect confidentiality when discussing pricing and other business-related practices.
Monitor customer accounts daily to identify outstanding terms.
Contact customers by email and phone to collect past-due payments.
Prepare accounts receivable aging reports for collection activities and progress for Finance and Management teams.
Perform other duties as assigned.
