Accounts Payable Analyst

About The Position

The Accounts Payable Analyst supports and processes allocated station accounts payable through invoice entry. The work includes reviewing, coding, and entering invoices; communicating with vendors; analyzing sales and use tax; and testing system upgrades when needed. The role processes both capital expenditure and operating invoices related to TV market operations and helps maintain timely, accurate processing and compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. It has no direct reports or supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred; direct related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience may qualify.
Strong customer service skills.
Working knowledge of general bookkeeping or accounting practices.
Experience with one or more accounting software packages and/or enterprise resource planning systems.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages, and apply them to practical situations.

Responsibilities

Accurately and promptly enter vendor invoices and credits.
Process capital expenditure and operating invoices related to TV market operations.
Verify vendor information and payment terms, and consider applicable use tax.
Communicate with vendors and internal departments about invoice issues.
Coordinate with Station RBMs (Regional Business Managers), Department Heads, and the GM.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
Perform accounts payable system user acceptance testing related to system upgrades.
Evaluate and test AI tools related to accounts payable automation.
Follow up promptly on customer emails and calls.
Meet and maintain department service-level agreements for processing volume and quality standards.
Complete additional projects and functions delegated by department management.
