About the position
The job overview for this position is that Foursquare is seeking an experienced Account Manager, Marketer to engage with their Advertiser clients. The Account Manager will be responsible for creating, identifying, qualifying, and managing retention and upsell opportunities for Foursquare's suite of products. They will play a key role in driving revenue growth by ensuring clients achieve their desired outcomes and positive business results. The ideal candidate should have experience in account management within the ad tech space and be familiar with programmatic buys, social media advertising, and ad campaigns.
Responsibilities
- Create, identify, qualify, and manage retention and upsell opportunities for the Marketers suite of products
- Own the commercial relationship with existing clients
- Partner with Customer Success to onboard customers and provide ongoing technical management for campaigns
- Ensure clients achieve their desired future scenarios and positive business outcomes from the Attribution and Targeting suite of products
- Drive revenue growth by conducting continuous discovery and ensuring customers are getting value from offerings
- Strategize with customers on how to achieve their business outcomes
- Run the commercial processes for renewals and upsell opportunities
- Develop account strategy in collaboration with Sales and Customer Success
- Identify cross-sell opportunities for Sales to engage on
- Handle revenue forecasting, building champions, getting economic buyers involved, and running quarterly business reviews with clients
- Have experience in account management working with key clients in the ad tech space
- Understand how programmatic buys, social media advertising, and ad campaigns are bought and run
- Partner closely with the Customer Success team to build and execute detailed account plans
- Own the full renewal and upsell cycle within the book of business
- Influence the prospect's required capabilities to align with solutions
- Work cross-functionally with CS, Ops, Product, and Engineering team members to address client escalations and position Foursquare as a leader in the space
- Grow customer relationships through effective multi-threading
- Uncover new opportunities within key accounts and introduce relevant products and capabilities
- Run monthly syncs and QBRs with clients
- Respond to RFIs/RFPs, present customer stories, proof points, and proposals
- Use value selling methodology to understand customer goals and requirements and communicate the value of solutions
- Provide customer and market feedback on product/services roadmaps, messaging, and positioning
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field
- Have 3+ years of experience in client management, digital campaign delivery, or a similar role
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication, discovery, and presentation skills
- Have industry expertise in ad tech and client services

- Ability to influence prospect's required capabilities to align with company solutions
- Cross-functional collaboration with CS, Ops, Product, and Engineering teams
- Ability to uncover new opportunities within key accounts and introduce relevant products and capabilities
- Experience in running monthly syncs and QBRs with clients
- Ability to respond to RFIs/RFPs and present customer stories, proof points, and proposals
