The Web Project Manager plays a central role at our agency. They delegate weekly assignments to directors so that all work will be completed within the scheduled deadlines. They will be responsible for managing internal agency departments to make sure we stay on track, on time and on budget. They monitor resource requirements and alert the appropriate staff/department heads of upcoming staffing needs.
To succeed as a Web Project Manager, you need the ability to multitask, organize and collaborate. Web Project Managers need to be well organized to schedule, monitor and adjust deadlines and resources as needed. This position also requires significant collaboration and applicants should have strong people management skills. They need to know how to effectively communicate requests and assignments to their internal team, which includes meeting deadlines, following up when they don’t, pushing back on unrealistic requests and making sure everyone is satisfied with the project. Good understanding of Agile methodology, Jira Confluence, and Asana are key to being successful in this role.
