About The Position

Requirements

• Familiarity with grinding tools and finishing techniques.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of experience in metal grinding, fabrication, or welding support.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand grinders, belt sanders, and other finishing tools to clean and smooth welded joints.
• Remove weld spatter, burrs, and surface imperfections from metal parts.
• Inspect finished surfaces for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, and weld symbols.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Support welders by preparing surfaces for welding and post-weld finishing.
• Keep the work area clean and organized, adhering to 5S and lean practices.
• Promptly report defects or equipment issues to supervisors.
• Assist with material handling and staging of parts as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
