About The Position

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Forklift operating experience, including retrieving and delivering material in tight spaces and narrow aisles, loading and unloading semi-trailers, and operating in a high-bay storage facility.
• Basic computer data-entry skills and ability to operate and load simple computer programs as required using logistics management systems.
• Ability to work with speed and accuracy.
• Team spirit, flexibility, and a positive attitude as an active team contributor.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving skills, including recognizing and appropriately escalating issues.
• Ability to successfully complete the pre-hire basic skills test and assessments.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to meet the listed physical demands, including frequent reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, and repetitive hand, wrist, or finger motions.
• Adequate vision to read work instructions, job aids, and guides and detect imperfections in finished product.
• Ability to work in an environment with limited climate control and varied temperatures.
• Ability to communicate effectively amid continual noise while wearing company-provided hearing protection.
• Ability to work with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical and mechanical equipment, and vibration.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience in a logistics or warehouse storage environment.
• Experience with lean or process improvement tools, or interest in advancing knowledge in this area.

Responsibilities

• Operate logistics equipment safely and in accordance with specifications, schedules, safety targets, and quality standards.
• Receive incoming goods and check for damage or discrepancies between goods and invoices.
• Pick, pack, receive, and dispatch outgoing goods according to orders.
• Load and unload delivery trucks, including moving and lifting products weighing up to 85 pounds.
• Designate and organize warehouse stock by product SKU and physical alignment, leaving sufficient space for forklift maneuverability.
• Compile and submit reports on damaged or outdated stock and supplies, over- and under-shipments, and product returns; segregate defective products from normal inventory.
• Help verify incoming and outgoing products for accuracy of amount, size, and type.
• Notify leadership of inventory and supply shortages and assist with periodic inventory counts.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers, safely, and maintain an operator license if required.
• Enter data into logistics management systems to keep records current and retrieve stored information in response to inquiries.
