We are seeking a Truck Driver/Delivery Representative to join our team at High Steel Service Center in Lancaster, PA. Truck Driver/Delivery Representatives are responsible for performing a wide variety of tasks related to operating a tractor-trailer to delivery company products to job-sites, customers and other various locations for Service Center.
Requirements
- Valid CDL A driver's license and clean driving record, required
- 1+ years of experience hauling a flat bed trailer, required
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to run up to two (2) overnight trips per week
- Demonstrated ability in sound decision making process
- Ability to start early in the morning (2:30 - 4:00 am).
Nice To Haves
- Previous steel material hauling experience, preferred
Responsibilities
- Ability to operate a tractor-trailer to delivery company products to customers
- Maintain and ensure that vehicle is good working condition, report any issues to High Transit supervision
- Ability to verify load accuracy and prepare load for delivery, including chaining down the load
- Assist in unloading of load as requested
- Maintain all required DOT documentation
