About The Position

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
• Two years of PCU, High Acuity Telemetry, or ICU experience.
• Current BLS Certification.
• ACLS required.
• Stroke and Trauma continuing education.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Procedural Sedation Certification preferred.
• NIHSS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiac monitoring and interpret normal, expected abnormal, and abnormal rhythms.
• Respond to expected or unexpected changes in patient rhythm with appropriate assessment, intervention, and notification.
• Identify and respond to patient deterioration with appropriate assessment, intervention, and notification.
• Serve as a resource to patient care providers for clinical decisions and direct patient care.
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians and other clinical disciplines when making decisions about patient care needs.
• Establish and maintain professional relationships with patient care providers, management, and physicians.
• Provide direct nursing care and assistance during special procedures, including establishment of a patient airway, procedural sedation, lumbar punctures, thoracentesis, central line insertion, chest tube insertion, and vascular access.
• Support inpatient departments caring for adult patients and inpatients holding in the Emergency Department during intra-facility transports.
