The Unit Clerk Monitor Technician CNA is responsible for reviewing patient information to identify normal heart rhythm patterns, current patterns, and prior variances. This role involves observing cardiac monitor screens and responding to alarms to detect abnormal heart rhythms. The technician will promptly inform the assigned RN of any variances and provide shift reports as requested. Key duties include documenting patient information, measuring and posting heart rhythm patterns, triaging the ongoing appropriateness of telemetry services in consultation with a supervisor, and processing orders accurately and in a timely manner. Additionally, the role requires answering telephones and call lights, providing information, and relaying messages to patients and staff.
