About The Position

Requirements

• Obtaining patient histories
• Performing preliminary and ancillary testing
• Scheduling patients
• Preparing the exam room
• Assisting the doctors with any exam needs
• Ensuring the practice’s quality standards are met
• Completing specific, essential responsibilities that pertain to the patient’s experience and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for eye examinations by communicating the features and benefits of our preliminary testing procedures.
• Perform all preliminary and any doctor requested tests on all patients.
• Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.
• Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff.
• Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager or team lead, and doctor(s).
