Machine Maintenance Technician

About The Position

Hartzell Propeller is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician responsible for keeping equipment clean and in working order to eliminate downtime. This role supports world-class manufacturing operations utilizing cutting-edge multi-axis mill turn CNC equipment and aerospace robotic machining centers across multiple facilities in Piqua, Ohio. The technician will perform preventative maintenance, assist with new equipment installations and process implementations, and conduct equipment repairs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of basic CNC machine maintenance.
  • Ability to read and understand CNC electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • General knowledge of Machine controls, Mazatrol, Fanuc and Siemens.
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook, and Maintenance software.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Ability to visually inspect and troubleshoot equipment, including CNC machinery, robots, automated systems, manual machinery, compressed air systems, and presses.
  • Ability to install conduit and circuit wiring.

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as routine filter changes and other maintenance-related items.
  • Work in parallel with other departments and skilled trades on projects including new robotic and CNC machine cell layouts, utilities installations, new process implementations, and robotics process development and implementation.
  • Develop placards for preventative maintenance.
  • Perform equipment repair, including dismantling defective equipment, installing new or repaired parts, and supporting test runs of repaired equipment.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
  • Move equipment and re-install electric, air, and network connections as required.
  • Perform various plumbing tasks, including running pipe, repairing leaking lines, and clearing clogged drains.
