About The Position

Performs a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalities, including Ultrasound, Mammography, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), and Special Procedures, while maintaining proficiency in general diagnostic radiology. This role is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and adhering to all radiation safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency required.
  • Completion of AMA-Sponsored School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as radiologic technologist; multi-modality experience is strongly preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, regulatory or accreditation requirements.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory bodies, e.g. The Joint Commission and American College of Radiology (ACR) and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
  • Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
  • Must have knowledge of PC and applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced certification in one or more modalities preferred, such as Computed Tomography (CT), Magenetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Mammography, or Ultrasound.
