About The Position

Requirements

• High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma AND two (2) years of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license issued from within the United States or be able to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
• Within 12-24 months of hire date, must have the ability to obtain and maintain: Class A CDL, CPR Certification, Emergency Medical Responder Certification, Wildland Fire Suppression Certifications, Certified in S-112 Chainsaw Operations Training - perform hazardous tree assessments and if necessary, tree removal within the park, Pesticide Applicator License.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated work experience performing trades in at least two of the following: carpentry, plumbing, electrical and/or auto mechanics;
• Demonstrated experience in performing grounds maintenance/landscaping;
• Demonstrated experience in performing maintenance on buildings, facilities, and/or grounds maintenance equipment.
• Demonstrated experience reading and/or interpreting blueprints/structural specifications and/or building codes.

Responsibilities

• Performing a variety of skilled tasks in a trade such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC and facility maintenance, and/or auto mechanics.
• Operation and repair of various large and small tools and equipment.
• Purchasing resources in accordance with state purchasing policies and procedures.
• Maintaining records and preparing operational forms.
• Assisting in housekeeping.
• May supervise temporary and/or permanent employees including various volunteers and community service participants on special projects.
• Maintaining preventative maintenance on various tools, equipment and facilities.
