About The Position

The Quality Technician I (QA/QC) ensures the quality of materials, products, and processes at Primoris Energy Services in Sherman, TX. This role involves performing inspections, tests, and documentation to uphold company and industry standards, contributing to the overall integrity and reliability of our energy projects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control role, preferably within the energy, construction, or manufacturing industry.
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles, inspection techniques, and testing methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using basic inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or Associate's degree in a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products according to specifications and quality plans.
  • Perform various tests using appropriate equipment to verify product conformance to quality standards and design requirements.
  • Document inspection and test results accurately and thoroughly, maintaining detailed records for traceability and compliance.
  • Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action requests as needed.
  • Assist in the investigation of quality issues, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventative measures.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality control plans to ensure proper application of quality criteria.
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection and test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and project management teams to address quality concerns and improve processes.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
