HIRING - APARTMENT MAINTENANCE TECH (FULL-TIME) join our awesome apartment maintenance team in Columbia South Carolina at Quail Hollow Apartments! Requirements

  • 2+ years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent
  • 6+ months experience in apartment maintenance
  • Dry walling including painting and carpentry
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, sweeting copper pipe preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures
  • Basic repair and/or diagnosis of appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposal
  • Required experience in HVAC with EPA certification
  • Pool experience with CPO certification preferred
  • Some knowledge of water heaters both electric and gas
  • Problem solving skills
  • Be able to provide great customer service to our residents
  • Have basic safety training or be willing to go through basic training within 30/days
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • This role requires pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background check and a drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Housing inspection experience preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority
  • Make Ready / Turning Units in between tenants
  • Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications
  • Manage and adapt a preventative maintenance program
  • Exterior structural maintenance as needed
  • Managing coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone
  • Snow removal (when applicable)
  • Pool maintenance (where applicable)

  • $21-24 an hour full-time year round work and pay (bi-weekly)
  • Quarterly maintenance bonus structure, up to $750.00
  • On-Call Bonus, $100. If on-call on a holiday=$50 for that day
