About The Position
Carolina International Trucks is seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to perform quality repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines. This role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work is documented accurately according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. The technician will also be responsible for organizing and prioritizing work to ensure efficiency, productivity, and safety, and may be assigned additional projects by their supervisor.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on diesel technician experience
- Strong knowledge of diesel diagnostic and repair systems
- Experience using modern diagnostic software
- High attention to detail with strong documentation skills
- Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented
Nice To Haves
- CDL preferred or willingness to obtain
Responsibilities
- Perform quality repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty trucks and diesel engines in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Complete routine maintenance including oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and inspections
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using current diagnostic software
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and correct vehicle deficiencies
- Perform adjustments, alignments, and road tests as needed
- Accurately document all repairs, inspections, and work orders, including state and emissions-related paperwork
- Organize and prioritize work to ensure efficiency, productivity, and safety
- Complete additional projects or duties as assigned by the supervisor
