About The Position

The Maintenance & Grounds Technician is responsible for keeping a client property clean, attractive, safe, and well-maintained. You’ll handle routine landscaping and grounds work while also helping with basic property maintenance and unexpected needs as they arise. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, works well independently, and pays attention to problems that need to be addressed.

Requirements

  • Ability to safely use basic landscaping equipment, hand tools, and maintenance equipment
  • Basic knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily responsibilities with limited supervision
  • Dependable and punctual with a willingness to help where needed
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, professional surroundings
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and carrying materials and equipment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, general maintenance, or a related field
  • General mechanical or building maintenance experience
  • Experience working independently at a client or customer location
  • Experience with seasonal grounds maintenance, including snow and ice-related work

Responsibilities

  • Maintain lawns, landscaped areas, flower beds, trees, shrubs, and other outdoor spaces through mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, pruning, planting, and cleanup
  • Operate and care for common landscaping equipment, hand tools, and maintenance equipment safely
  • Complete seasonal grounds work, including spring and fall cleanup and snow- and ice-related duties
  • Keep the property clean and professional by removing litter, debris, and other unwanted materials
  • Monitor the property and identify landscaping, grounds, or maintenance issues that need attention
  • Assist with basic building and property maintenance, repairs, upkeep, and other hands-on projects
  • Move materials, equipment, furniture, and other items as needed
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and ready for use
