About The Position

Requirements

• Must meet New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) requirements for employment in a child care program
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with young children in a licensed child care center, preschool, or early learning environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Genuine passion for working with children

Nice To Haves

• Child Development Associate (CDA)
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the implementation of age-appropriate lesson plans and learning activities
• Supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
• Supervising children to ensure a safe and engaging learning environment
• Encouraging independence through hands-on learning and play
• Helping maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
• Assisting with meals, transitions, outdoor play, and daily routines
• Following all OCFS regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies
• Collaborating with teachers and center leadership to provide exceptional care
