About The Position

A Nurse Tech who excels in this role provides basic patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). They monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff. They also assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, and ambulation. The role involves observing and promptly reporting abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings, and maintaining patient rooms and common areas to ensure a clean, safe, and organized care environment. Additionally, the Nurse Tech supports nursing and physician staff with patient care activities and unit workflow, manages tech desk operations, and assists with maintaining efficient department throughput. Documentation of patient care and activities in accordance with hospital and unit standards is required, as is participation in required education, competency validation, and performance improvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Handle with Care certification preferred.
