About The Position
Advantage Academy of Hillsborough is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide instruction and classroom management in the absence of regular teachers. The substitute teacher will follow established routines, teach prepared lessons, and ensure student safety and behavior management.
Requirements
- Must have 60 hours of secondary education.
Nice To Haves
- Substitute Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Report to the building principal or school office manager upon arrival.
- Review plans and schedules with the principal, department head, or team leader.
- Maintain established school and classroom routines and procedures.
- Teach lessons as outlined in the Substitute Teacher's guide.
- Oversee pupil behavior in class, during lunch, and at recess.
- Submit a written report on the day's activities to the office manager.
- Follow all policies, rules, and procedures applicable to teachers and good teaching practices.
