The Ultrasound Coordinator utilizes high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques to produce and evaluate ultrasound images that are used by physicians to render medical diagnosis. They assist with the daily technical operations of diagnostic ultrasound under the supervision of the Radiologists, Radiology Director, and Manager. The Ultrasound Coordinator is responsible for work schedules in Ultrasound. They will assign duties, supervise, instruct, and evaluate the clinical performance of their immediate personnel. They will stay informed of ongoing developments and issues within the department and institution by actively participating in various departmental/hospital meetings and committees. He or she will perform administrative duties, as well as perform ultrasounds, as needed. They will maintain clinical competency in Ultrasound as well as Radiography if applicable. The Ultrasound Coordinator will perform other duties as deemed necessary.
