About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• At least 6 months of experience working remotely.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and testing types.
• Experience gathering stakeholder requirements to define clear testing objectives.
• Proficiency in debugging techniques to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience testing in the .NET framework.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and their role in the software development lifecycle.
• Detail-oriented, with a passion for improving product quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to perform well under pressure.
• Must currently reside in Michigan.
• Must be available to attend quarterly in-person team meetings and company events.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Software Tester or Quality Engineer certificate.
• Proficiency with the Jira platform.
• Experience in the EMS industry.
• Experience with an API testing tool such as Postman or Hoppscotch.
• Hands-on experience with a test automation tool such as Playwright.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to identify defects and verify software quality.
• Work with Project Managers, Developers, and Designers to understand requirements, provide feedback, and support integration of new features.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, and work with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Improve QA processes by applying industry best practices and emerging software-testing trends.
• Provide clear, detailed reports on testing outcomes, bug severity, and potential impact.
• Help ensure the final product aligns with client expectations and improves the user experience.
• Conduct manual and automated testing across various environments to validate functionality, usability, and security.
• Provide feedback to refine processes, improve efficiency, and support reliable software delivery.
