About The Position
Working under the direct supervision of the Shipping Supervisor, the Order Selector Forklift efficiently and accurately selects ordered items using powered forklift trucks. The role audits, processes, and packs customer orders for shipping according to company policies and department procedures. Where applicable, the position ensures departmental processes comply with applicable Sarbanes-Oxley controls. Employees must be present at the approved work location to perform the functions of the position. The schedule is 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate a keyboard for data entry.
- Proficiency with in-house computer applications, Radio Frequency equipment, and scanning equipment.
- Attention to detail when picking, processing, keying, and handling customer orders.
- Basic math aptitude.
- Good reading comprehension and ability to follow written directions.
- Knowledge of good safety practices.
- Initiative and self-motivation to take on additional tasks.
- Good listening skills and ability to receive information completely and understand what is being said.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers.
- Adaptability and ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities.
Responsibilities
- Identify and select products for customer orders using various powered forklift trucks.
- Meet shipping deadlines.
- Consolidate workload to efficiently deliver goods to the desired location.
- Assemble multiple cartons onto a pallet, secure the goods to the pallet, and apply required documentation for LTL shipments.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
- Where applicable, ensure departmental processes are performed in compliance with applicable Sarbanes-Oxley controls.
