About The Position
TheraPeds Partners is a Colorado-based, therapist-owned and operated organization that partners with schools to provide social work services to PreK–12 students. The School Social Worker will serve at an on-site K–8 school in Littleton, Colorado, including its ASD and SSN Center. The role involves providing therapy and student services, conducting assessments and evaluations, developing and supporting IEPs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams that include therapists, educators, parents, and district staff. The position is full-time at 37.5 hours per week during the November–May 2026/27 school year. Guaranteed hours include documentation, administrative work, and planning time. The position may be filled as a W-2 employee or a 1099 contractor.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Colorado Department of Education Special Services Provider (SSP) License with a School Social Worker endorsement, or eligibility for the license.
- Completion of 900 hours of supervised practicum or fieldwork in social work settings.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using technology.
- Fingerprint background clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with children or school-aged students.
- Knowledge of IEPs, special education law, and behavior intervention planning.
- Two or more years of experience; preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy services and other student services to students.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations, including eligibility and diagnostic work.
- Develop IEP plans and support students according to their IEPs.
- Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, educators, parents, and district staff.
- Complete documentation and administrative and planning work during guaranteed hours.
