About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing Services assumes delegated responsibility and accountability for the provision of resident care according to professional standards of nursing practice. In coordination with the Director of Nursing Services, the ADNS develops, communicates, and maintains nursing policies and procedures that reflect current clinical practice, professional standards, and company and facility philosophy of care consistent with Federal and State laws and corporate policies and procedures. Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Must have a strong background and hands-on experience in a long-term care clinical setting
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Indiana RN license or ability to obtain an Indiana license

Responsibilities

  • Assume delegated responsibility and accountability for the provision of resident care according to professional standards of nursing practice.
  • Develop nursing policies and procedures that reflect current clinical practice, professional standards, and company and facility philosophy of care.
  • Communicate and maintain nursing policies and procedures consistent with Federal and State laws and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Inspire and motivate clinical staff and foster a positive work environment.
  • Maintain compliance to company, federal and state standards.
  • Coach and mentor clinical staff.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, residents and residents’ families.
  • Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
