About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. This position involves providing high-quality care to adult patients with various diagnoses, particularly in post-surgical scenarios. The shift details are 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, and block scheduling is not guaranteed. Patients cared for include those with post-surgical care needs, abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity (bariatric surgery). This position is available in a dynamic healthcare environment located in the East Coast region.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical nursing.
- Travel experience is required.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Active NY RN license and all relevant licenses verified through NURSYS.
- Proficiency in EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical/Surgical unit.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, advocating for patient needs and coordinating care.
- Manage specialized equipment such as IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to implement patient care plans.
- Floating to other units as needed to provide high-quality patient care.
