About The Position
The Registered Nurse reports to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for providing direct patient care for patients receiving infusion services. This includes obtaining patient vitals, updating medical history in the electronic medical records system, preparing patients for procedures, reviewing clinic orders, continuously monitoring patients for adverse reactions, and providing support and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications. The nurse also serves as a patient liaison and advocate.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Valid registered nurse license
- CPR certification
- Annual dysrhythmia certification
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in nursing in a clinic or acute setting
- Previous experience in an infusion setting
- ACLS certification required within 3 months
Responsibilities
- Obtain patient vitals and update patient medical history while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records system
- Prepare patient for various types procedures and/or examinations, as needed
- Review clinic orders and ensure all necessary information is obtained
- Continuously monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Assist patient by providing direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician
- Serve as patient liaison and advocate, as needed
