About The Position
Peachford Hospital, a 246-bed private psychiatric hospital located in Dunwoody, is recruiting RNs for our Internal Agency. We have day shift positions open on the weekends with the option to pick-up additional shifts during the week. These are 13-week temporary assignment positions that may be extended up to six months with a starting rate of $55 per hour plus differentials. Peachford Hospital specializes in the treatment of behavioral health and addictive disease disorders for children, adolescent, adults and seniors and has been providing exceptional care since 1973. Registered Nurses (RNs) at Peachford deliver quality nursing care to patients with varying psychiatric, behavioral and mental health diagnoses, ensuring their safety and continued care.
Requirements
- At least one year of psychiatric, behavioral or mental health nursing experience is required.
- A valid State of Georgia Nursing (RN) (Registered Nurse) License is required.
- CPR certification is required upon hire and will be provided at orientation, if needed.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients through a systematic process of interacting with the patient, the patient’s significant others, and the appropriate health care providers.
- Administer medications in a safe, accurate, and timely manner
- Collect and analyze data regarding the patient’s physical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and anticipated discharge planning needs.
- Develop a comprehensive outline of care and specific goals and interventions to be included in treatment planning.
- Prepare interdisciplinary treatment plans for assigned patients and monitor patient’s progress toward meeting treatment plan objectives.
- Monitor patients progress while following nursing protocols.
