About The Position
Performs Respiratory Therapy procedures including assessment, planning and implementation of therapy on the routine patient care floors and critical care areas. Performs emergent endotracheal intubations. Provides patient/family education related to respiratory therapy and airway management procedures. Serves as a resource for new technologies that have been implemented.
Requirements
- Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program.
- Licensed by the State of SC as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist with 3 years’ experience and competency in all areas of adult care.
- BLS certified.
Nice To Haves
- ACLS and PALS certifications within 1 year of hire.
Responsibilities
- Performs Respiratory Therapy procedures including assessment, planning and implementation of therapy on the routine patient care floors and critical care areas.
- Performs emergent endotracheal intubations.
- Provides patient/family education related to respiratory therapy and airway management procedures.
- Serves as a resource for new technologies that have been implemented.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of RT or designee.
