Quality Assurance Manager (Onsite)

About The Position

Voltage is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality systems, compliance, and customer quality initiatives within our high-volume wire harness and cable assembly manufacturing facility. In this role, you will own site-wide quality performance while building and developing a high-performing team. You’ll play a critical role in driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement as the facility scales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive quality leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • Proven experience building, leading, and developing quality teams.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Expertise in PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, CAPA, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in wire & cable, harness assembly, or similar manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting OEM or automotive customers preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve the site Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Establish and track quality objectives aligned with business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, customer requirements, and internal standards.
  • Oversee quality documentation, traceability systems, and record management.
  • Manage core quality methodologies including PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, and CAPA.
  • Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection operations.
  • Ensure process control across critical manufacturing processes including crimping, welding, molding, and harness assembly.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI), validation, and production readiness.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality matters.
  • Lead customer complaint investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage audits, including internal, customer, and third-party assessments.
  • Develop, lead, and mentor Quality Engineers, Supervisors, and Inspectors.
  • Drive root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methods (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on scrap reduction, yield improvement, and cost of quality.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to improve quality performance and scalability.
