About The Position
PPG is seeking a Production Operator to join their team. This role focuses on setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production equipment. The operator will be responsible for ensuring equipment is in good working condition, assisting junior operators, and following all safety procedures. This position is located in Oak Creek and offers a pay rate of $25.14 plus a shift differential for the 3pm-11:30pm shift.
Requirements
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the day.
- Ability to work any job and work overtime as needed.
- Must be clean shaven to wear proper PPE.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Setup the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders.
- Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
- Ensure that equipment are maintained in good and safe working condition.
- Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions and repairs.
- Provide assistance to junior operators in their assigned responsibilities.
- Clean the equipment when needed.
- Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements.
- Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production materials between warehouse and working area.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
