About The Position

Requirements

• Requires a Master's degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a product-design engineer-related occupation
• Position requires 3 years of experience in the following:
• Mechanical engineering fundamentals such as prototyping skills, CAD and manufacturing process knowledge
• Thermal Design, Design for Reliability and Failure Analysis
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
• Statistical tolerance analysis techniques
• Functional dimensioning
• GD&T and 3D or 2D CAD
• Testing and analysis such as FEA, Simulation or Design of Experiments
• High volume manufacturing techniques such as stamping, machining, 3D printing or injection molding

Responsibilities

• Developing hardware systems for VR, AR and New Technology Initiatives.
• Exploring and developing concepts through prototyping and into mass-production consumer electronics.
• Working as part of a cross functional team and collaborating in domains other than mechanical engineering.
• Contributing to mechanical solutions.
• Modeling, building, testing and refining prototypes and characterization test systems.
• Working across the full product development cycle from concept inception to shipping product.
• Collaborating and managing work with Asia-based supply chain.
• Push state of the art technologies and approaches to solving complex mechanical problems.
• Requires 20% domestic and international travel.
