About The Position
ASGCO engineers, manufactures, and distributes a wide array of conveyor and screening components, all specifically designed for the above-ground and underground mining, aggregate, cement, recycling, bulk shipping terminals, pulp and paper, food processing and other bulk material handling industries. ASGCO has a Press Brake Operator opening for a candidate with a great positive attitude who excels at working in a team environment which helps drive the business. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a press brake operator
- Valid Driver's License
- Have knowledge of basic math or geometry
- Read a variety of manuals and following prescribed formats with the ability to inform others and solve practical problems
- Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Can lift up to 50lbs, bending, kneeling, reaching and standing for long periods of time, significant fine finger dexterity
Responsibilities
- Load proper tooling into press brake by entering instructions, setting tool registers, calculating requirements including basic math, geometry and trigonometry
- Verifies setting by measuring position
- Maintains specifications by observing machine operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes; and adjusting and reprogramming controls, sharpening and replacing worn tools, adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
- Must be familiar and able to set up and operate other sheet metal forming equipment as job requirements demand
- Ensuring you adhere to all ASGCO policies and procedures
- Following and accountable for Safety policy and procedures
- When necessary, provide training on all aspects of the press brake
- Maintains shop, equipment, tools, vehicle, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items
- Coordinates with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
- Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required item
- Work well with limited supervision
- Operate a company vehicle
- Responds to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns
- Other responsibilities as seen fit by management
