About The Position

Requirements

• Must be a certified respiratory therapy technician or registered respiratory therapist or a registered polysomnographic technologist (R.PSG. T.).
• Current BLS for CPR for Healthcare Providers certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous education in allied health or life sciences is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Performs polysomnograms.
• Reviews patient's records including current medications.
• Sets up and calibrates equipment.
• Monitors the polysomnogram.
• Recognizes and records clinical and physiological events.
• Scores the polysomnogram and generates report.
• Utilizes appropriate infection control procedures.
• Properly handles and cleans contaminated equipment.
• Complies with departmental and Johnson Memorial Health (JMH) policies and procedures.
• Interacts with home health care services.
• Provides appropriate services to meet the needs of the department's customers as requested, including but not limited to the provision of accurate and timely information.
• Participates in Quality Improvement/Performance Improvement activities as determined by JMH administration, including JMH operations improvement.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Clearly communicates and continuously supports the Mission and Values of Johnson Memorial Health.
• Conducts all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and Johnson Memorial Health policies and procedures including Blood and Body Substance Precautions.
