Requirements

  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
  • Active Maryland state license
  • Previous experience conducting and interpreting sleep studies in a clinical or lab setting
  • Strong knowledge of sleep medicine terminology and procedures
  • Excellent patient bedside manner and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently overnight while collaborating with physicians and staff
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Comfortable troubleshooting sleep study equipment
  • Able to work full‑time overnight shifts

Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic polysomnographic studies for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Accurately score, analyze, and interpret sleep data, identifying clinically significant findings
  • Partner closely with physicians to provide meaningful insights that support diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with clinical standards
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on polysomnography equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Support the rollout of new technologies and protocols in the sleep lab
  • Create a safe, calming, and supportive overnight environment that puts patients at ease
