About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to perform sleep studies and support patients throughout their care experience. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This is a .75 FTE (30 hours weekly) part-time position with 12-hour night shifts (6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), typically on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. The position is on-site at the La Crosse Main Campus in the Sleep Lab department. The technologist will perform overnight sleep studies (polysomnograms) and related testing, monitor and record sleep data, educate and support patients, analyze results, and collaborate with providers. Responsibilities also include maintaining equipment, documentation, and compliance with safety and accreditation standards, working with patients from 18 months to 100+ years old. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Polysomnographic, Electro neurodiagnostic, or Respiratory Therapy program OR one year of on-the-job training in an AASM-accredited sleep lab
  • Certification as an RST and RPSGT
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

Responsibilities

  • Perform overnight sleep studies (polysomnograms) and related testing to evaluate patient sleep disorders
  • Monitor and record sleep data while ensuring accuracy and patient safety
  • Educate and support patients throughout testing procedures
  • Analyze results and collaborate with providers and the care team to support patient care
  • Maintain equipment, documentation, and compliance with safety and accreditation standards
  • Working with ages 18 months to 100+ years
