About The Position

The Patient Care Technician's role in the Emergency Department is a dual one. The Patient Care Technician functions as both a clerical employee and as a patient care provider under the supervision of the RN staff. The Patient Care Technician's patient care role is task oriented.

Requirements

  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
  • Work experience requiring positive interaction with patients, families and public.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years patient care experience.
  • Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant training and knowledge, EMT or Equivalent education preferred.
  • Bilingual-Spanish Preferred.
