Requirements

Responsibilities

• Management of the technical operations of the Frozen Section Laboratory, Biopsy Grossing Lab and Morgue, overseeing the daily workload distribution.
• "Gross" examination of all routine tissues.
• Processes Frozen Section specimens for the pathologists.
• Provides dissection assistance in the Frozen Section Laboratory after the case has initially been assessed by the pathologist/pathology fellow.
• Participates in Validation of new equipment and reagents.
• Orienting new employees and supervising technical training, providing feedback on employee’s performance.
• Facilitates supply chain management Par Ex inventory.
• Assists PA Supervisor in Competency Evaluations for PA’s and Grossing Techs.
• Attends monthly departmental AP meetings and institutional meetings as needed.
