The Patient Care Technician, under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, is responsible for preparing the patient to be seen by the physician or provider. This role ensures that all patients are seen in an expedient and timely manner in the examination rooms in the outpatient facility. The technician will assist with setting up and preparing patients and equipment for procedures, maintaining a clean and orderly environment, and cleaning the area after patient exams and procedures. Key duties include checking patient vitals, documenting all intake information, entering patient information into the Electronic Medical Record system, collecting urine samples, and ordering necessary supplies and equipment. Other duties may be assigned as determined by the needs of CPMP.
