About The Position

Requirements

• Current RN license to practice professional nursing in the State of Vermont is required.
• At least one year of experience is required for the sign-on bonus.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience to be proficient in all phases of assigned duties is preferred.
• If you have less than 1 year of experience, apply and we will evaluate if we can train you to be the next nurse to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Direct and indirect professional nursing care to patients
• Serve as patient advocate
• Provide teaching, counseling and emotional comfort to patients and family members
• Provide direct care to assigned patients in conformance with hospital policies, professional standards, physician orders, and approved plan of care
• Responsible for indirect nursing functions and activities of assigned nursing personnel
• Function within limits of Vermont Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and hospital and nursing department policies and procedures
• Support philosophy, objectives, and goals of nursing department
• Utilize nursing process in the provision of patient care
