About The Position

Fulton County Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join its Operating Room team. This is a full-time, first-shift perioperative role with a commitment of 72 hours bi-weekly. The role includes participation in a call rotation; when on call, the nurse must be able to respond and arrive at the facility within 30 minutes. Flexibility in job assignments is required to meet staffing and scheduling needs. Cases may require long periods of standing or sitting. The nurse provides care to a diverse patient population, including infants, pediatric patients, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients, and must maintain the physical ability to perform all job functions indicated in the credentialing inventory.

Requirements

  • Hold current RN licensure from the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.
  • Be able to provide specialized nursing care using knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, and social sciences.
  • Maintain competency through a minimum of 24 Continuing Education Credit (CNE) hours every two years.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous surgical experience is preferred.
  • Certification in related nursing practices is encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient care through the nursing process while adhering to professional nursing standards and FCHC policies.
  • Direct and guide the activities of other nursing personnel in the Operating Room.
  • Adjust to staffing changes and patient care needs as required.
  • Serve patients across age groups, from infants to geriatric patients.
  • Maintain the physical ability to perform all job functions indicated in the credentialing inventory.
  • Participate in a call rotation and be able to arrive at the facility within 30 minutes when on call.
