About The Position

Requirements

• PTCB Certification or registration as a Pharmacy Technician, as required by applicable state regulations.
• Valid state driver's license for travel to clinics.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to educational and research meetings and training sessions.

Nice To Haves

• At least three years of experience in the healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting as a Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix chemotherapy drugs and solutions under appropriate licensed supervision and in compliance with state regulations.
• Maintain proficiency with the Nucleus medication dispensing system and ensure accurate dispensing and par-level management.
• Review next-day orders with nursing staff to anticipate special medication needs.
• Order, stock, and track medical supplies and medications, maintaining appropriate inventory levels and minimizing waste.
• Perform daily and annual maintenance of chemotherapy hoods and manage ambulatory pump documentation.
• Safely and compliantly dispose of biohazardous waste, including recordkeeping and coordination with Accounting.
• Maintain required records for compassionate drug programs, clinical trials, biohazard waste, and related pharmacy processes.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, patient privacy regulations, OSHA standards, and organizational policies.
• Assist in training new pharmacy technicians and nursing staff on chemotherapy preparation and Nucleus system workflows.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, supervisors, and pharmaceutical representatives to support patient care and operational needs.
• Support operations across multiple locations as needed.
• Work overtime when required.
• Participate in mandatory meetings, including annual Safety/OSHA training.
• Travel occasionally to educational and research meetings and training sessions.
