About The Position

Requirements

• Active registered nurse license in Georgia (or eligible per state requirements)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in oncology/med-surg
• BLS and NIHSS certifications (AHA BLS and NIHSS required)
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts in a hospital med-surg setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to document accurately in the EMR

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult oncology/med-surgical patients in an acute care setting.
• Monitor patient status, perform focused assessments, and escalate changes promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies within scope of practice; manage lines and infusion devices as needed.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (oncology, surgery, case management) and document care in the electronic medical record.
• Implement individualized care plans and educate patients and families on medications, procedures, and discharge planning; ensure safety and infection control protocols.
