About The Position

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
• ACLS training required upon hire
• Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
• Valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search (required for interview)

Nice To Haves

• Cardiac and obstetrical experience an asset
• Acute and/or long term care experience is an asset

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care.
• Active participation in the model of care that integrates quality improvement principles, lean methodology, best practice, advanced technology and patient family centered care.
• Responsible for promoting organizational mission, vision and values by providing safe quality nursing care to clients.
• Responsible for accurate observation/documentation of patient related info.
• Demonstrated understanding of the prevention and management of chronic diseases.
• Knowledge in population and public health concepts.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Sensitive and understanding of diverse cultural aspects of population served.
• Working knowledge in health promotion.
• Knowledge in LEAN management system.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Ability to communicate with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to balance the needs and interests of diverse group.
