About The Position

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Missouri or the practicing state.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current CPR certification.
• Clinical assessment skills sufficient to meet the job requirements.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, and of laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with an interdisciplinary care team.
• Basic understanding of computer technology, including email.
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Decision-making and analytical skills.
• Ability to work positively and cooperatively with employees, residents, family members, and personnel from outside agencies and organizations.
• Positive attitude and desire to work with the aging population.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess resident needs and develop individual care plans.
• Administer nursing care to residents.
• Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care.
• Perform IV care, wound care, assessments, admissions, discharges, and medication administration.
